Two private projects

It’s been a little while since I last posted images from fully-formed project. So here are two series I finished quite a while back and never really found the time to upload. Both are personal interpretations of existing buildings: Haus M, near Munich, by Titus Bernhard Architekten and residĂȘncia em aldeia da serra, Brasil, by MMBB Arquitetos.
As always, the modeling was done in 3ds Max and the rendering in Vray. No special technique employed that would be worth mentioning, except perhaps that Haus M was initially developed to stress-test the Brix plugin, which I found very useful and robust, as written earlier.

your work is really clean and truly inspirational to an amateur such as myself. great work.

  5. Do we have a chance to see it in 3-D ?

Thanks a lot for the kind words guys. Sadly, Thomas, this is not available in 3D. Render times were so long, I just couldn’t afford it. I’ll make sure to post more stereoscopic work in the future, though.

    Amazing Bertrand, as usuall.

I specially like those warm tones in Aldeia da serra exterior renders, kind of a Lomo look.

    Congratulations!

    Hi,
    Your work is amazing!!!
I would like to ask you about color mapping. Ive been studying about it, but Im still not sure wether I get better results correcting the gamma to 2.2 and using Linear workflow or using gamma 1 and different color mapping types. I would really appreciate if you could share a little bit of your experience regarding this.
    Thank you!!

  14. BBB3VIZ says:

Thanks Gabriela. Definitely LWF. Particularly if you work mainly on interiors. There is no other way I found to properly illuminate an interior without getting huge blown-out areas or detail-less shadows.

:) Thank you very much for you reply!
